William O. "Bucky" Qualls, Jr.

William O. "Bucky" Qualls, Jr., of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Holzer Medical Center.

Born on September 6, 1960 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Bucky was the son of the late William O. Qualls, Sr. and Harriett R. Scott Qualls. Together since 1993, Bucky married Rebecca "Becky" Shoemaker Qualls who survives him in Gallipolis. Bucky was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School Class of 1978, a transporter for Community Action, and an Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed walking and mowing.

Bucky is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Qualls; children, Sonya Shaffer, Angel Castle, Carl Aaron Qualls, Cynthia (Mark) Childress, Jerry Whitcomb (Jennifer Phillips), and Katherine Crossen; sisters, Renee Jackson of Gallipolis and Tracy (Eddie) Borden of Gallipolis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Bucky will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Christian Scott officiating. Friends may call prior to the service Tuesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
