William Stephen "Steve" Walters

William Stephen “Steve” Walters, 73, of Gallipolis passed away on August 8, 2018 at his residence. Born March 21, 1945 in Gallia County, Ohio, Steve was the son of the late William Liston and Leona Dickey Walters. On March 27, 1965, Steve married Yvonne Clagg Walters, who survives him. He was a graduate of Kyger Creek High School, veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and member of Hillside Baptist Church in Middleport, Ohio. Steve is survived by his wife, Yvonne Walters of Gallipolis; son, Tadd Wesley (Debbie) Walters of Logan; daughter, Amy Yvonne Walters-Palmer (Wayne Sweeney) of Vinton; grandchildren, Michael Angelo, David Mullins, Thaddeus Walters, and Alicia Walters; great grandchildren, Hensley Murray and Haidyn Mullins; and sisters, April (Harold) Rice of Northup and Brenda McKinley of Virginia. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by a son, William Stephen Walters II in 1990 and grandson, Joseph “Joey” Angelo in 2017. As per William Stephen “Steve” Walters’s request, there will be no services. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
