Wilma I. Cox, 76, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born on August 1, 1929 in Mason County, West Virginia to the late Earl and Sophia Mae Leonard Henry. Wilma was married to John Cox and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. Surviving are three sons, Jeffery Cheri Cox of Middleport, Richard Cremeans of Gallipolis and Jack Kerwood of Gallipolis; four daughters, Janice Leroy Leach of Tampa, Florida, Donna John Stethem of Dayton, Ohio, Joyce Denver Bates of Gallipolis, and Patricia Gregory of Hillsboro, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one sister, Frances Robert Hall of Panama City, Florida; one brother, Robert Shirley Henry of Rosewood, Ohio; and a special friend, Betty Doerfer of Gallipolis. Preceding her in death were her parents, Earl Henry in 1963 and Sophia Henry in 1994, her husband, John Cox on April 12, 2000, and one grandson, John William Stethem in 1976. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, July 1, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. Her grandsons will be pallbearers.
