Amy May Barnett

Amy May Barnett, 74, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born March 30, 1943 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late James S. and Eva A. Wright Walker. Amy was married to Arnold Leroy Barnett Jr. on June 13, 1992 and he survives her. She attended Promise Land Church. Amy was a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother and great grandma. Surviving are her husband, Arnold Leroy Barnett Jr. of Gallipolis; two daughters, Barbara Ann Siders and Brenda (Greg) Terry, both of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Danielle Cremeans and Pamela Ratliff, both of Bidwell, Regina Myers and Mikel Myers, both of Gallipolis, Bryce Dovenbarger and Kaydee Dovenbarger, both of Bidwell and Holden Myers of Gallipolis; sisters, Alice Redmond of Grove City, Joyce Flowers of Hilliard, Rosemary (Truman) Johnson and Carolyn S. Burgess, both of Gallipolis; brothers, Carrol Jean Walker and David S. Walker, both of Gallipolis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by brothers, Dale Henry Walker, John Richard Walker, James Walker and George Walker and sisters, twins Peggy Ann and Betty Lou Walker, Little Eva Walker, and Susie Siders. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. prior to the funeral.
