Helen L. Holley, 76, of Gallipolis, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Holzer Medical Center. Helen was born in Gallia County, daughter of the late Hollis and Follie M. Cox Brown. She was employed at Arbors at Gallipolis as a Rehab Specialist for 36 years. Helen was a member of the Crown City Wesleyan Church, a volunteer for the Our House Museum and was active in the Gallia County Relay for Life, In addition, she enjoyed taking piano lessons from her instructor Charles Murray. Helen loved spending time with her friends and family, which extended to those she worked and cared for at the nursing home. Helen was married to George Holley, Sr. on September 10, 1956 in Crown City and he survives her. She is also survived by a son Rev. George (Pattie) Holley, Jr. of Crown City, four grandchildren, Rev. Aaron (Erin) Holley of Hilliard and Matthew (Krista) Holley of Grandview, Ohio, Beau (Leslie) Holley, and Nikki (Roy) Schneider both of Buckhannon, West Virginia; 6 great grandchildren Adisyn, Kynleigh, Tucker, and Sawyer Schneider; Paisley and Kade Holley; one brother Gene (Naomi) Brown of Crown City and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Rick Holley and a daughter-in-law Kay Holley; a brother Donald L. Brown, Sr., and a sister Carolyn A. Cromlish Elkins. Funeral services will be 1 pm Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Holley officiating. Her burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
