Hence Sidney “Sid” McNabb, 73, of Gallipolis, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at his home. Sid was born on November 17, 1941 in Lenoir City, Tennessee son of the late Beryl and Nora Seals McNabb. He was a retired Ironworker, being a 50 year member of Local #769 Ashland, Kentucky. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Gallipolis, an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan, NASCAR fan, and loved his family and grandchildren. He served in the United State Army. Sid was married to Sharon J. Bolt McNabb on December 12, 1964 in Tennessee and she survives him along with two daughters Tracy (Marty) Kelley of Coal Grove, Ohio and Shannon (Brad) Saunders of Gallipolis, three grandchildren Lowen Sidney Saunders and his fiancé Carly Atkins, Noelle Elizabeth Kelley and her fiancé Michael Leighty, and Miranda Dawn Saunders, four brothers Bud (Ethel) McNabb of Lenoir City, TN, Bill (Sara) McNabb of New Carlisle, Ohio, George (Lilly Mae) McNabb of Louden, TN, and Roger “Blue” (Donna) McNabb of Lenoir City, TN, two sisters Joann “Dood” (Dean) Russell of Lenoir City, TN and Peggy Thompson of Lenoir City, TN, a sister-in-law Jean Ann McNabb of Lenoir City, TN, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Fred McNabb and three sisters Betty Jane Royal, Donita McNabb and Jan Henry. Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Gallipolis with Pastors Eugene Harmon and Doug Downs officiating.
