Mable L. McQuaid, 89, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Holzer Medical Center. She was born November 26, 1925 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Wye Wakefield and Garnett Waugh Warren. Mable was married to James Herbert “Herb” McQuaid and he preceded her in death. She worked at Ohio Valley Laundry and was a caregiver. Surviving are her two daughters, Nancy Buttrick, with whom Mable made her home and Virginia “Jenny” (Donavon) Sanders, both of Gallipolis; a son, James “Jimmy” H. McQuaid Jr. of Gallipolis; a stepdaughter, Leona Harrison of Columbus; a stepson, Dave McQuaid of Gallipolis; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Herb McQuaid, she was preceded in death by one great grandchild, Katelynn Shafer, three brothers, Alfred, Robert and James Warren and one stepson Danny McQuaid. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6-8:00 p.m.
